The XR Series is our latest and greatest series of products. An uncompromising range of discrete audiophile components, the performance of which elevates Cyrus into the very highest echelons of transparency and precision.

XR is nothing short of a revolution in audio quality. Built from the ground-up, using an accumulated knowledge of over a decade, XR represents the best-in-class application of new DAC technologies, Power supply Design, Circuit topology, User Interface and, is built entirely in the UK using the highest specification of components.

 

CDi-XR

The CDi XR is designed as a reference integrated CD player, building on the legacy of the CDi and incorporating many novel technologies developed in-house at Cyrus over recent years. Housed within our iconic half-width chassis, The CDi XR sits alongside above the existing CDi and CDt models, offering a substantive performance upgrade.

 

CDt-XR

The CDt-XR is designed as a reference CD transport, building on the legacy of the CDt and the CD XT Signature models, but incorporating many novel technologies developed in-house at Cyrus over recent years. Housed within our iconic half-width chassis, The CDt-XR sits above the existing CDi and CDt models, offering a substantive performance upgrade. Listeners will notice a dramatic lowering of the noise floor, bringing enhanced clarity and nuanced detail, brought about through significant design improvements in many areas, yet the characteristic ‘Cyrus-sound’ has been retained.

 

i7-XR

The i7-XR is one of the first wave of products, heralding the new XR series of Cyrus components. The familiar Cyrus precision die-cast case is the same, but everything else has changed. With ground-up engineering inside, an all-new phantom black paint finish, touch-sensitive controls and a higher resolution display that is customizable for brightness, contrast and polarity, the high-quality finish of XR makes a strong statement.

The wideband power amplifier of the i7-XR responds from DC to beyond 100kHz ensuring ruler-flat frequency response and keeping any undesirable phase shifts out of the audio band. With a generous, over-specified power supply the i7-XR power amplifier delivers music with a scale and authority that belies its 52W rating.

 

i9-XR

The i9-XR is one of the first wave of products, heralding the new XR series of Cyrus components. The familiar Cyrus precision die-cast case is the same, but everything else has changed. With ground-up engineering inside, an all-new phantom black paint finish, touch sensitive controls and a higher resolution display that is customizable for brightness, contrast and polarity, the high-quality finish of XR makes a strong statement.

The DAC input stage of the i9-XR features a new 2nd generation version of our award-winning QXR DAC, but with an all-new high-speed analogue buffer stage. Seven digital filter alignment options are user adjustable to suit the taste of the listener. Input options include USB audio (to 768k sample rate) and DSD to DSD512, 2 x SPDIF digital and 2 x optical digital inputs.

 

Pre-XR

The Pre-XR is one of the first wave of products, heralding the new XR series of Cyrus components. The familiar Cyrus precision die-cast case is the same, but everything else has changed. With ground-up engineering inside, an all-new phantom black paint finish, touch-sensitive controls and a higher resolution display that is customizable for brightness, contrast and polarity, the high-quality finish of XR makes a strong statement.

 

PSU-XR

The PSU-XR builds upon our extensive legacy in Power Supply design. Beginning with the original PSX, Cyrus has always led the field in producing clean, stable and ‘stiff’ external upgrade power supplies. ‘Stiffness’ is essential, Even when heavy loads are applied, the voltage has to remain completely stable. The PSU-XR employs the largest toroidal transformer we have ever used, coupled with some amazingly efficient load management circuits to deliver a staggering amount of power.
